Bernard is a senior Estates and Facilities leader with over 20 years’ experience in complex healthcare environments, including more than 15 years in acute NHS settings. At Associate Director level, he leads multidisciplinary estates services across multi site portfolios, covering compliance, fire safety, engineering assurance, workforce planning, and governance. He translates technical risk into clear board level decisions, strengthens assurance in line with HTM and NHS standards, and links estates investment to risk reduction and patient safety. His leadership is calm, evidence based, and focused on resilient systems and strong teams.

Nicholas is a Senior Electrical Engineer and NHS Estates Officer, specialising in HV/LV systems, energy performance, and AI-driven automation. As an Authorised Person (HV/LV) at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of the NHS Electrical Safety Group, he leads safety, innovation, and collaboration across NHS trusts.
Jonathan Gilmore
Jonathan provides transformation, change management and business improvement support to improve value for money & efficiency for organisations and their supply chains. Jonathan has an MSc in Construction Innovation and helps clients focus on developing their processes to deliver service and cost improvement. Jonathan has lectured in innovation, lean methodologies, business improvement and modern methods of construction.
John Adamson
John is an NHS Deputy Director of Estates & Facilities at TEWV and Chartered Engineer. He has over 20 years’ NHS experience in Estates and Facilities management. John also carries out Estates & Facilities compliance audits on internal and external sites, generates detailed reports and subsequent gap analysis / actions plans. He has extensive knowledge in engineering, decontamination, energy management, fire legislation and estates operational management.
Rui Miguel Martins Rodrigues
As a Maintenance Officer at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, Rui is responsible for overseeing a maintenance team that includes assistants, technicians, and engineers. His role involves ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the hospital's facilities and engineering services. This includes coordinating team members, managing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and technical standards.
Paul Fenton MBE
Paul is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in Building Services and Facilities Management across the UK and Europe. Awarded an MBE in 2021 for services to the NHS, he is a Past President of IHEEM, former National Chairman of HEFMA, and a Fellow of IET, IHEEM, and IWFM. After senior roles in multiple NHS trusts, including Executive Director of Estates & Facilities at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, he now leads PNFM Consulting, advising NHS and private sector clients. He is also Business Development Director for IHEEM and an Associate with Whiterock Services.
James Scott
Since joining the NHS in 2008, James has built experience across estates and facilities, moving into the Development Team in 2018. He has led a wide range of RAAC projects, from local mitigation programmes to playing a national role in the NHS RAAC Research Programme. Alongside his professional work, James is undertaking a PhD at Loughborough University focused on developing structured, data driven frameworks for RAAC risk profiling and decision-making.
Philip Long
Philip is Senior Estates and Facilities Manager at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, the UK's only dedicated specialist Trust for Neurology and Neurosurgery. With extensive Estates, Facilities and Hospitality experience in the Public, Private and third sector. Philip specialises in rapid mobilisation/reactive system implementation and improvement processes. Philip's interest is in collaborative digital models across Trusts, the efficiencies and improvements AI and other technologies can make for colleagues and patients.
Craig Bromyard
Craig is an Estates and Facilities Manager with over 10 years' experience delivering safe, compliant, and efficient environments across NHS and independent healthcare settings. His background spans hard and soft FM, capital projects, compliance, and PFI contract management for mental health, acute, and community hospitals. Having worked previously with Leeds & York Partnership NHS FT, Nuffield Health, and Vita Health Group, Craig brings deep operational knowledge of healthcare estates and a passion for continuous improvement. Craig is focused on harnessing data and emerging technologies to enhance performance, compliance, and service delivery across healthcare facilities.
Rob Neal
Rob is a Senior Project Manager in the PFI Expiry team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. He specialises in compliance, asset condition assessment, and lifecycle replacement planning, supporting PFI handback readiness and contract optimisation. Rob focuses on risk-based planning, smart technology, and sustainable solutions to enhance estate performance, resilience, and long-term value for money, helping Swansea Bay University Health Board make informed decisions and future-proof its assets.
